I am looking at a couple of options for tires for my 2001 5 Lug. I wanted to get the 235/75r15 size because it seems to be a good size for a stock 5 lug. Out of these two options, what would you guys suggest? I'm trying to keep costs down, but if the Westlakes are a better value then I'll go for them. I get 5% back on Amazon purchases with my prime card so there's that.

I plan to use my truck mostly in the city, but all-terrain tires are badass so I want some anyway lol

    ~$315 for a set of 4
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cooper-DISCOVERER-A-T-All-Season-235-75R15-105T-Tire-60-000/373581786

~340 for a set of 4 (taking 5% back into account)
    https://www.amazon.com/Westlake-SL3...75+15+all+terrain+tires&qid=1582226649&sr=8-4

Also, will 235/75r15's fit on a 15x8 sized rim? I bought these already:
    4 of Trailmaster TM5-5865F TM5 Steel Wheel; Size 15X8 ;Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5 ;Back Space 3.75 in.; Finish Flat Black;

    Thanks as always!

    EDIT:

Went with the Coopers, I am loving them. Here are some pics.

Truck is stock, no rubbing issues.

Go with the Cooper Discoverers! I've had a set of AT/3s on my 2nd Gen 5-lug for almost a year now (and almost 20K miles) and I absolutely love 'em!

Leaning that way for sure, I love the white lettering. Do you think these regular A/T's will perform well too?

I honestly do not know the difference; They look similar to mine...

Mine did okay in the snow though, considering that they're on a 2WD truck with a "fake posi" auto LSD!

    I'd go with the cooper's.

I have no experience with the other brand, but had 2 different sets of those coopers on my prior ram and they did well. Wore nicely, and handled the terrains well

and yes, the 235s should fit on the rim. 235's are 9.5 inches wide

I run 235 75 15 Bridgestone Duellers from Costco on the OE 6" wheels. They've been great for my use.

The Costco install and care package, which you can get for 1 cent per corner during sales, saves a pile of money that I doubt your prices above consider. And lifetime rotations/balancing

So yea. They'll fit the wheels you bought. But you may have some rub at full lock due to the wider wheel.

Great point, did Costco give you any problems about installing tires that were bigger than the originals? Not sure what the 2nd gen original tire size is but for mine its 205/75/15

They did. But I'd ordered the tires online, shipped to store, and I 'sweet talked' the guy into installing them.

Now that they are on, and I have no issues, they'll install a replacement set when the time comes with no argument.

You'd have the same issue at WalMart re sizing too. Everybody has a scaredy cat lawyer.

One potential solution is to just order the tires and take them your empty wheels to mount them up. Depends on how much the person writing the ticket cares.

I'll probably order the coopers and have them mounted at a local tire shop

Thanks! I much prefer them, the tires look like I'm running spacers now, sticking out about an inch.

I've been using the Cooper A/T3s for some time. Provide good traction and seem to last forever.
