Speaking of tundras... just drove by this beast in the parking lot at school. Any of you guys that check tundras.com recognize it?

Pretty sure it was long travel and had kings, fiberglass genders, and a vagabond camper

Edit: looks like tacorunner__ on Instagram used to own it but he sold it early January.

You could always trade your Tacoma in for one :spending:
Guarantee that double cab tundra has more space in the back than a double cab taco lol

That’s Danny’s old truck as you’ve surmised. I know he sold it around here but I don’t know who the new owner is.

I'm considering trading our 2018 Tacoma for a new 19 Pro.

Why a Pro? I found an alright deal, and the interest rate is low (1.9%) through Toyota financing right now.
There's a lot more to it, but I think my 2018 Off Road is a lemon, and I don't use that phrase lightly. I don't really want to go into detail because it would quickly turn into a novella.

Do I think the pro's are overpriced? Yes. But I also know that I won't be doing a King suspension swap anytime soon with either model. If that was a direction I wanted to go in the near future, I would rethink this choice. The baby pro lift will let us get by fine for what we need at the moment. Peace of mind goes a long way here.

We haven't made a final decision yet regarding trading in for the Pro. But looking at the Pro's bumper and trim at the cab/bed gap, it looks like the trim is fucked up. I'm seeking the best way to negotiate this into lowering the price. What are your thoughts on this bumper/paint? I noticed the bumper issue from about 12 feet away for reference.

No wrecks or anything like that. It has 5 miles on the odometer. Agreed, it does look awful. I wanted to make sure I wasn't over reacting. It seems like it was a poor finish, especially since its affecting two separate parts of the vehicle. When I felt it is was super rough and scratchy. Not smooth at all. When I got home I checked my bumper, and of course its normal looking.

Now you know why I have been a little silent regarding your wheels lol.

That looks worse than my truck with 100k miles lol

I’d be hesitant personally. What’s wrong with the 18? You can pm me if you wanna keep it under wraps.

There is a possibility that it was damaged while in the dealers hands. Stupid stuff happens and damage occurs that customers are never told about because the dealer sorts it out and puts it right back into inventory. Lots of people complain about the horizontal surface paint coming apart on their cars to have paint specialists tell them that the car has suffered extensive hail damage in its life.

Factory plastic doesn’t have excess flash material at mold lines, odds are it may have been in a collision - fell off the truck, damaged on the lot - and they went the cheap route to resolve it so they could profit from the insurance claim.

If it annoys you now, it will piss you off later. I’d skip it and just order what you want.

    What @G.T. said.

True, however I don't have a gaggle of kids to put back there, I like my M/T, I like maneuverability, MPGs, and aftermarket support.

I've been amazed by the maneuverability of the tundra. its a big truck, but it'll turn on a dime.

but yes, no MT sucks. The MPGs are bad but better than lifted tacos with armor and 35s...

@Cav_BluTRD is enjoying that 13 mpg life. My tundra is about 14.5. My tacoma is at 19.5 lifetime average.

Could be one of these from that tornado back in may. The repairs could be what caused the crappy paint:notsure:

I guess someone down in Starkville must have bought it. My buddy has seen it driving around a few times and it was parked in a Mississippi State university staff lot. I’ll have to see if I can figure out who it is

The 37s, long travel and camper is a nice break from the usual 6” lifts with 20s I see down here
