Help with pin stripe removal

    hi guys I have search all in this forum but has not seen a DIY thread for removing the pin stripe. I'm so frustrated now, can any one help please, thanks a lot

    If they are the sticker kind just goto the nearest auto body paint store and ask them for one of the eraser wheels that take them off.

    Just peel it away slowly by heating it up with a heat gun or hair dryer.

    Then use some Goo Gone to remove any of the sticky residue that is left over.

    just about black everything. i don't dig the chrome.
    if the goo gone doesn't work for you, the eraser wheel definitely will. 3M makes a really good one. hook it up to a drill and you're in business. doesn't screw with paint or clear coat.

    If it's the painted on kind, Easy Off oven cleaner works pretty good with terry cloth or microfiber cloth...

    If it's the vinyl tape kind, lift up the leading edge with a utility knife blade/scraper and gently peel.

    Clean up any excess adhesive with goo gone and wash and wax the truck afterwards because goo gone will strip the wax...
