    Too much.
Currently rocking a Kenwood Excellon DMX905S and was wondering if anyone has fit anything bigger in the head unit spot besides the Alpine Halo units. Specifically the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX.

I know Crutchfield says it won't fit on its fit guide, but their guide isn't always right, and I thought someone might have tried it...

I wish Kenwood made a larger screen Wireless AA head unit.....

    Thanks!

Been looking at this unit also. I don't believe it has wireless AA however... I have been looking for the same ~9" screen and wireless AA.

I've found wireless AA to be hit and miss, no matter the phone. Even my Pixel 2 was hit or miss.

It will fit but you need the correct dash kit, in Asia this radio is called DMH-ZS8250BT and the Toyota dash kit is the CNS-TY100A. Hopefully pioneer will bring it to the US for our Tacomas.

I fee like I saw that Metra is making a kit for this radio for 3rd gens, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I heavily considered this unit which is the only reason I’m pretty confident that I saw a kit for it announced. I’ll double check once I’m in the shop

Nevermind. They have a 12-15 kit but not 3rd gen (yet)

Sorry. Doing it from my iPhone and figuring out how to add the pictures they sent me of the parts.

Thanks for contacting Metra support. At this time the only available way to mount the 8" Pioneer into your '17 Tacoma, is to use the following parts.

Very interesting. I have maestro already, so my parts list would be a little different, more interested in the actual mounting of the screen. Things to consider.....

Might get my hands on one of these and see what it looks like in person, and how close it is to the factory screen size. may only need the original metal brackets and the universal trim ring.

Same honestly. Also, that set up just isn't doing it for me. I'm not looking for floating in front, I want the screen flush in.

Give me a week or so to try and get one in the shop. Might get lucky with a clean flush profile
