    My wife works for a municipality. I applied for a job . She said no call? I said no. I gave her instructions to reach out. Not in a chauvinistic way but I’m tired of my bull shit job where they give nothing back for future as far as pension. I’ll take the cut in pay for PTO any day . She gets 8 hours a month of paid . I want that

    Our pension was cut off 5 years ago. Instead, they put an extra 4% in our 401k (which I would rather have anyhow).
    Side note: my wife gets 17 hours a month of PTO. She's been at this job just over 2 years and has over 10 weeks PTO. I need me some of that.

    What type of job are you looking for? As much as I dislike my actual role, I don't necessarily hate my company and our benefits and PTO accrual are great. Try applying for whatever your local Blue Cross/Blue Shield is (in CA they're separate companies). I had zero healthcare or insurance background and just worked my way up.

    My employer matches up to 6% in to our retirement. I believe it’s normally 8 hours biweekly of pto. If you work extra. You earn more. Why I have roughly 250 hours accrued.
