it might be easier (and probably cheaper) for you to drive and submerge the truck into a vat of bed liner

Oh yeah. I ordered sliders raw (I will never listen to anyone again say to paint it yourself ) and really took care to paint it properly and I haven't even used it off road yet and they are a nice shade of rusty orange. I need to get them powder coated.

No mud flaps, and a cool sticker.

I'll give him a call tomorrow and ask. His company does large batches of products so I don't want to send a bunch of small jobs to him unless he's cool with it. All that means is if he doesnt want lots of small jobs, I'll just drop it all off at once and do all the organizing myself.

Cheapest colours are ones he is running already, he runs outdoor satin black almost every day.

@Norilsk the oven is 48"x60"x120", so im not sure the whole truck will fit. No worries though i got a sawzall and a welder so we can make it fit

Powder coating is the way to go, I had my IFS skid done when I got it, that was 3 years ago and its still in decent shape. Almost ready to get it done again. Sliders are at just over 2 years and they are in perfect shape other than the places I have bashed them.

Pfft...Evgeny's buggy is already a jigsaw puzzle. Make it into an entertainment evening, like an escape room only putting it back together again

I don't know why I didn't just do it from the beginning. I thought the paint would hold much longer but it doesn't compare to powder coat. I'll always spend the extra for powder coat from now on. Lesson learned.

I also have a sandblaster, i havent priced out any big jobs fro
Every time i make something for myself at work i do the "well i can paint it here now", I always regret it. Paint is so much harder than I expect and i always mess it up. I made myself a coffee table, and painted it, i ended up stripping it down and sending it off for powdercoating. I basically wasted $20 in materials and a day, the powdercoat cost me $20 and looks amazing. Not that it matters for a table, but its so durable too.

you said that one right, i would have waited on the slimline had i known it was as much of a pain as it is now by DIY the paint yourself...

There’s a place near me that does hot dip galvanizing. Their tank is 55 feet x 8 feet x 11.5 feet. The whole truck could be dipped! Mind you, it may not be so good for the upholstery and those pesky electronics.

I took my time and waited for coats to dry. Also used etching primer and good quality paint. What a waste of money.
