On 2/13/2020, i was walking into work, and i got a notification on Instagram. I didnt pay any attention to it until i was settled, but turned out that I won a motorcycle!

The "contest" was to name as many big custom parts on the bike. I named 3 as I could identify, and then promptly forgot about the comment (because no one wins on those anyways). This was mid January. Fast forward to mid February - i was ecstatic! Ive never won anything before, and the first thing that i do win, is a whole bike!

I rent a truck, and drive down to their secret shop location, on 2/20/2020. Its not a real shop, and they don't advertise anywhere. But they built the bike from The Walking Dead, for Daryl. The shop name is Classified Moto. Im still pretty excited because Richmond VA is "local - as in, in VA" to me.

Anyways, onto the bike! From what I can tell, and from the pictures so far, its a WR450 frame and engine, GSXR front forks, a Honda VFR800 swingarm, and a CB750 tank. The tank has been notched to fit the radiators, and the single sided swingarm has been modded to fit the WR frame. This will be a very slow build, as I figure out whats needed, and drive the bike around to places to get custom parts made.

    Bike Specs:
    2000 WR400F frame/engine
    05-06 Suzuki GSXR 1000 forks/front end
    93 VFR750F rear swingarm

    headlight/tail light

    - has coolant 3/11/2020

Note: on the carb, the top black knob is choke. I think the red knob is for a hot start? Much to learn. Pictured is an 01 WR426F.

    EDIT:
black knob - cold start choke - richer fuel mixture when engine is cold
red knob - hot start choke - adds secondary air when engine is warm

I wanted to start this build better than I did my truck build. I think my maintenance post was on page 9, before rearranged everything

    plot twist:

I dont think the rear swingarm is a Honda VFR. What other bikes have 4 lugs and a single swingarm?

    EDIT:
Nevermind. I just have to research more, and dont trust anything that the shop told me..

93 VFR750F swingarm looks exactly the same as what is on there now. I was looking at the ridges on the sides, the location of the bracket that holds the caliper, and the face of the hub on the sprocket side. Also was looking at the space where the spring passes through. Originally thought it was a VFR800 swingarm, but that looks completely different than the below.

Just making mental notes for myself for later. :)

the previous owner/builder said it ran before parked. But I havent started it myself. I believe it needs a kickstart pedal and a battery, which I havent gotten yet. Also probably could use a carb rebuild (or for me just a whole new carb) and an air filter.

But I havent really started on anything. Just gathering info right now.

I actually used to have a 74 CB350 cafe. I think with that bike, I learned that I dislike carbs very much
