Haven't tried foods yet. Thought about doing one of those large chocolate bars though.

At $400-$800 for replacement lenses don't think we want to mess up any more.

Nothing wrong with that. Thought the last new house we built was the last place we would get but things outside my control changed that. :)

...^^^... My wife is not good at American cooking. She has been a working mom until her recent retirement of 25 years with the Thai govt.

She will be permanently living in America with me in the next month or so and we will work together on our cooking skills in retirement.

She is a so-so cook in Thai food, but she likes fish & veggies 3 times a day ... lol ... ........ I like Costco salmon and eat it maybe 4 times a week, but that is my max on fish on a weekly basis.

I am not a good cook but I am learning ... one dish at a time from this thread ... :hungry:

PS ... I like this thread with all the pics ... reminds me of a Shoney's Menu when I was a kid and picked out my food by the pics on the menu. :)

How would you season and cook these?? No grill available at the moment.

The easiest way for me to cook salmon is to use honey and black pepper ... the center is cooked, flakey, moist and the outside has a crunchy and crusty glazed honey coating. ... super tasty too ... :hungry:

I do this in an electric skillet for easy clean up and it took me a few times to get it right. I use Trader Joe's vegetable fried rice (best by far) and misc. veggies and I have a good and fast meal. The pan is on high at 400 F.

No grease or oil ... that is only water moisture and honey in the skillet bottom.

Lemon and dill is a classic combo.

Sesame oil and honey is fun.

In the oven is easy. 350 until desired temp.

If you have good stock to begin with then that type of gravy is super easy lol.
Get your stock boiling. While it’s heating up mix a thick slurry of cold water and cornstarch. Slowly add slurry to boiling stock, whisking like crazy to avoid chunkyness. Turn heat off, it will quickly set up so stop adding slurry when it reaches desired thickness. Easy peasy :)
