We had a trade in, but decided to sell private to family member. Figured worst case we would do carmax or carvanna.

yea, thats true, the jetta has negative equity whihc was $1k less than what I owe to the bank. If it wasnt for negative equity, it would be roughly the same as you.

I just signed a lease 2 weeks ago. I don't have all the details with me here at work but
2020 TRD SPORT Crew Cab 4x4 AUTO
    MSRP 38K, Sale Price 33K
Zero Down, First Month Payment at signing Plus Tags
15k Miles Per Year for 39 Months ( Ally Lease )
$275/Month including my tax rate of 6.5%
Purchase price is 29K after my lease. I'll probably just trade it in for another.

After reading tons of posts on leasehackr, if you can spend the time, and email your local toyota dealers and ask specifically if they can lease through ALLY financial (vs. Toyota Financial) you can get very close if not the same deals yourself that the brokers get. If you have a trade in, then this is the route you want to go, since the brokers on leasehackr(all very helpful) usually can't do too much with the trade in.
I found a local dealer in my area (Boston) who does ALLY leases, and my numbers were similar to the leasehackr deal (once i factored in some negative equity). The brokers are great if you don't have the time to find local Toyota dealers who can do ALLY leases.
