I'm planning on going as of right now. My daughter is coming with me, so we will be watching the weather as time gets closer.

    Enjoy the weekend!

    From AlabamaWX

COLD START: Temperatures are generally in the upper 20s and low 30s across North/Central Alabama this morning; the sky is clear and the air is dry. Today will feature sunshine in full supply… the high will be in the 47-50 degree range. Tonight will be clear and cold again; lows will be in the 20s early tomorrow morning.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: The dry weather continues. Look for a sunny sky tomorrow with a high in the upper 50s, followed by a partly sunny day Sunday. The high Sunday afternoon will be in the low 60s. Clouds will increase Sunday night.

RAIN UPDATE: These are rain totals for the month of February so far from our team of Skywatchers…

    Vestavia Hills 16.90″
    Crestwood 16.00″
    Coker 15.81″
    Remlap 14.55″
    Black Creek 14.22″
    Alexander City 14.01″
    Cottondale 13.07″
    Weaver 13.01″

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be a mostly cloudy day with occasional showers; possibly a thunderstorm. No risk of severe storms, and rain amounts should be 1/2 inch or less… the high will be in the low 60s. Then, Tuesday looks dry and mild with upper 60s… it should be the warmest day of the week. Then, on Wednesday, a cold front will bring a chance of showers, and temperatures falling into the 40s during the day. Thermal profiles suggest we could see a few snow flurries Wednesday evening before dry air takes over (no impact). Then, dry weather is the story Thursday and Friday with cold mornings and cool afternoons. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

Check out this map. 2-300% above normal for the last 60 days. Absolutely ridiculous amount of rain for the Southeast.

I can believe it. Amy's granddad is still pushing along, just struggling with morale/depression it seems to me with his lifestyle being forced to do a 180. cancer sucks.

Yes cancer sucks, my sister is still getting over lung cancer. They say they got it all and her hair is about as long as it was before the treatments but she is still not as active as she was

IM going to get a full security system put on my truck soon. I have way too much invested in that damn thing to let some jackass ruin it. If anything have the means to find the SOB who stole it beat his ass then hope i get most of my Money back through insurance. I keep every receipt for things i buy for the truck for stuff like that. I have a camera that overlooks my truck outside my bedroom window at my condo too.
