No I do not and that is why I made mine temporary and where it doesn’t screw into my bedcover in anyway. I didn’t want any screw holes at all so that when I removed it, it would just be the bed cover like normal.

Ok. Sorry I’m just getting back to you. I’m not sure if I’ll give all the detail as it is a one of a kind design on the bed rack by me to match my roof rack, but I will give you some detail ;)

I saw this idea one day looking through pictures and decided I was going to convert it to something for my rack.

    208E84CA-E7EE-4F6F-A7DA-22FA6CDFCA6F.jpg

I loved the idea, but wanted nothing to do with the trailer. I was planning for the longest time to get a CVT Roof Top Tent so I could do something similar. So I looked into Thule’s website and found out they discontinued the High Gutter Foot Packs that I wanted. Similar to these 5” ones.

    3C48B59A-14B5-4D33-9B75-F8AE2B383C59.jpg

The way these work is they just latch around our Bed cleats. Since they discontinued the ones I wanted and they seem to always be out of stock, I actually ended up finding the medium height overseas that were a quarter of the price and are just as good. I would highly recommend them. I’ve looked at some from a buddy of mine that purchased from Thule and then we compared to mine and we cannot tell a difference. They do not come with the locks so I actually ordered a set of 8 from Thule. I was originally going to install 4 Bed Cleats per side but then I felt that would have been extreme overkill. Plus doing the 3 lined up perfectly with the crossbars and the bed cover on mounting locations for the Bed Cleats. Especially when I have the Bed Rack removed from the truck.

    Here are some more pics...

I plan on getting this rear bumper for when I’m taking my bikes and kayaks and whatnot, I will have a place for my tire to go. On the other side, I plan on getting the jerry can attachment and ladder.

I actually removed the permanent hardware in the top hinge part of the Thule bracket and I have a locking pin on there. I have the rack actually mounted to the very top of these because technically I could unbolt one side and then lift up and I could tilt my rack up and lift up my bed cover to have access if I wanted to. On either side. I just obviously wouldn’t be able to do that from the back, but that’s why you have the tailgate that opens. ;)

Racks just got returned from Power Coater and just installed the BD Lights in Front Fairing.

Prior to going to Powder Coater. Admiring the work of art. Parts individually cut and then welded together.

    2225E343-CE46-435F-A359-9FFD2A82FD73.jpg

I take credit for the bed rack as I designed that myself and a great designer shared the roof rack with me and my cousin helped me reconfigure the pieces to make them work so they could be sent to get cut. I then pieced it all together and had it welded by a buddy of mine. Let me know if you have other questions.

Do you have a link or what to search for to find these overseas gutter feet? As well as what to search for on the Thule locks that are compatible with the feet? I think I could use these instead of the frontrunner setup and still utilize the victory 4x4 basket. And be able to install/remove with ease. Thank you for all of your help with this.

Why not just take the towers/cross bars off and leave the tracks? It only takes a couple minutes, seems like it would be faster than your system but maybe not?

I think the big thing for KTJO was, not drilling into the cover. Does frontrunner, or someone else, make anything that could also be utilized in those channels/tracks?

Wait, I'm confused here. Please help me understand it as I really like the end result you came up with.

You say you didn't want holes in the cover, but didn't you make holes in the cover when you moved your cleats, and what about the existing holes that were exposed after removing the cleats? I see in your front overhead picture you have the cleats in the usual locations where you would find them on a diamondback HD. In your other pic I see you've gone from the 8 cleats on the sides down to 6, placing one in the middle. Weren't there holes after this was done?

Also, do you have a link to where you purchased these Thule clamps, and which crossbars did you pair them with?

I think he just added one cleat on each side in the middle.

I still don't understand how the thule (or knockoff brand) gutter channel feet are being mounted to the DB cleats. Just looking at pics of them online.

I admire @KTJO 4x4 ingenuity but I am not thinking that is going to be super strong when side-load is applied to it........

Unless he switched from a Diamondback HD to the SE, he would have holes from the cleats that got removed. Unless I'm looking at different trucks, he's got the usual 8 side cleats in one pic, but 6 in another. The only way this is possible without any holes would be to get a SE and just add a cleat to the middle.

He has the 270, it comes with 4 total as does the SE.

In this pic there are more than that. This is your usual DB HD setup when it comes to the cleat number and locations.

Look closely at this pic and you can see spots where the cleats use to be. From what I can tell.

Of course. I think this is the one but I don’t recall for sure.

I don’t have any tracks at all. I just untwist my knobs that are secure and lift it off. That’s it

I also have the Front Runner Spare Wheel Clamp and I love it. I didn’t have to drill into my cross bars either. It just goes underneath my crossbars and then the rod goes through the middle with the clamp on the top of the wheel.

I’m in the process of getting all of my accessory mounts from Front Runner or Victory4x4 so I can finally mount all of my accessories that I have collected over time from Black Friday deals and whatnot. It’s been a long time coming. My build is finally coming to an end tho and then it’s just when something new comes out and I may want to update something or I develop something which is going to be awesome.

This is what I will do when I want it off
