Once you go full squish you never go back. They are just too good these days. :spending:

we did....I just didn't think my budget would make sense to go full squish but based on tax return I should be good to go. budget of about 2000-2500$ for a full squish is what I'm going to go for.

A few years ago, I would have said that was not enough money but this year you can find good full suspension bikes for that money. I recommend an aluminum Rocky Mountain Instinct. I think you can find a new one for $2500.

well I also don't mind it being a year older model or whatever. I just gotta go by my local bike shops and see the offerings. Not planning for carbon, just want 1x drivetrain, 29inch wheels, full squish...

If I remember correctly, Huntsville has a Trek, Giant, Santa Cruz and Specialized dealer. Plenty of good bikes with those companies.

Its always a PITA shopping for bikes in a small town because they have to manage their inventories so closely because they don't do the volume in sales that big cities do. Good luck. I always love shopping for bikes.

yeah these are the two bike shops I plan to visit. Blevins is less than a quarter mile from my house so they currently are leading for chances of me buying from.

Got myself a new whip. Went to the local bike shops today and just fell in love with this one and wanted it. Got a good deal I feel like and excited to have it.

you like the full suspension better? I know it is a world of difference but some still prefer the hardtails

    yes.

    but, that's comparing a 300$ hardtail to a $2400 full suspension...so apples to oranges...

not fair to say I wouldn't love a really nice hardtail.

I still think it depends on the application. There is a dedication for both but Full suspension probably has a wider variety to some and vice versa.
