I am going out on a limb by speculating you have never ridden a Lefty?

Well it isn't slated for production so don't worry. The guy literally built it in his garage. Best part of it was he demanded that none of the parts be proprietary, so the shock is actually a rear coild shock.

Dang man, you got some serious Lefty issues.

Why the Lefty hate? I had one for years and had absolutely zero issues.

Same. One of the better climbing forks I have ever ridden

Also, I had success selling on the secondary market during the fat bike craze

    Mine worked great too!

I eventually had to rebuild mine and the needle bearings all fell out in the process! After a mild stroke, I put it back together and it worked great. Not the easiest to do maintenance on but still a great fork.

I had and liked the Lefty on my BOTE bike. I rode the bike everywhere and enjoyed it a bunch. Only sold the bike since it was the bike I was on when I crashed and ruined my shoulder, and I had a mental block afterward that was not the bikes fault.

I always wanted to try it, so I rented a Lefty build out in Southern Arizona last Spring - and actually loved it! It was definitely strange to look at from the rider perspective, but I didn't have any problems with the performance. Would do it again.

You are correct, i have never ridden a lefty. But I don't think I would ever buy one. it's just so niche. I don't think my riding is at a level that warrants any special fork just yet. Lefty or trust. I do just fine with my current lyrik and I can still bomb down the downhills.

Yea I'd say if you are riding on a lyrik you might be underwhelmed but its just a different tool for a different type of riding.

Sounds like a familiar narrative - "I haven't done it so it must be wrong"
