I’m a fabricator at a local shop who could get it done. I’ve actually been meaning to reach out on tw to offer cmc’s, sliders, slider installs and custom bed racks. Here’s our website https://www.firemass.com/

Haha, not me. I have a similar setup though. Followed whoever it was for a little while on I-15 and was curious about their rear suspension.

I had my cab mount chop twice by 2 different people here Utah and it was inadequate. I think Milogen's CMC skills appears to be superior compared to others here.

Honestly, that sounds more like a "time spent making sure anything rubs" issue and less of a fabrication issue.

How would you know if I had rubbing issue or not?
Isn't the point of CMC is to correct rubbing issue base on tire size?

If a person had to cut a second time and if it doesn't fix the rubbing issue, is that not a fabrication issue?

You could do it yourself if you wanted to. Get yourself an angle grinder and unbolt your shock. Cycle the arm through its whole travel and steering arc. mark where it rubs. Chop cycle again, chop some more. Lotta places would weld a plate over a hole if you did all the other work first.

I'm not sure which two you used before, although I could pry guess.

Simmons Fab in Provo, TNA in Ogden, Midnight 4x4 wherever in SLC. They are 3 that come to mind.

    Edit: Fat Bob's too

As to the last point, as long as the welds are sturdy, and the cuts are clean, I'd say that is the "fab" part. Now the determining WHERE to cut, a case of trial and error based on a lot of factors, I can agree that would be frustrating as a paying customer if it wasn't done. Although I can think of more than 2 offering their services in the SLC +- 1 hour circle that doesn't require driving 10 hours to the bay area that could do it right.

A person could do it themselves, if they have the space, the time, the tools, and the knowledge. A secondary vehicle in case something happens that cause a major delay in the completion of the CMC.

From my experience, in my opinion I would definitely drive to where or whoever that is capable of doing it right.

There are people and shops in other places that can do the same type of work but better. If you can do it better then go for it. There are options, the choice is yours.
