I think that's a spray painted Wildernest canopy. Probably worth close to a grand by itself. If not a scam, that's probably a good deal on a truck?

That was my thought too. I’ve been looking for a wildernest for a LONG time.

sent a message to see if they would sell separately...

I think that it'd be worth that for a TRD with full maintenance records. It's clean and could demand a premium, but $20k would buy so much more truck. For reference, I paid $16k for my 2000 TRD with 80k miles on it just a few years ago and would do so again in a heartbeat. The first gen tacos are still worth quite a bit in good condition. This one is in good condition, but is more of a base model that commands less of a premium. Having said that, I could see this going for $15k +/- $2k though.

There was one in Spokane about 6 months ago for around 1200. Considering a new CVT is $1,300 right now, I'm glad I didn't.but the Wildernest is a cool thing. A friend of mine had one 20+ years ago on his Toyota Pickup, that canopy was sooooo cool

Agree, not worth that, but I did see one for 600, and was second in line. The 1st person bought. I like that you have a bedroom and living room when set up!

As posted above; a low mileage vehicle with a decade or more under its belt = no Bueno.
Seals dry out, rubber gets brittle, etc.

On the opposite side of that; where are you going to find a cherry AC like that? The proof of the said value would be to check the frame, then compression, then maintenance.

The value is what someone is willing to pay for it.

It's what made the 80's great. Granted, I was a bit young for it at the time (born in 83).
