@Thunder Fist you in B'ham man? My wife lives/works there and i'm in Mississippi (i know long distance marriage). so i'm in bham alot. I was wondering what gym they trained at. I knew Anders went out to elevation fight club and Fortis MMA in dallas for a brief camp. So sad about Walt's daughter. We should watch some fights sometime.

 

Thanks for the reply! I ended up buying seats in the 113 area. Do you know how we get into the open workouts to watch and weigh in ceremony?

 

Nice! You should have a pretty good view from there. I'm not sure about open works out or weigh-ins. The times that I've gone I was only able to make it to fight night.

 

@JoeTacoma02 i've been to 3 events but was only able to make it to the weigh ins and some festivities when i went to vegas for international fight week D.C. vs Stipe 1 in July 2018. Weigh ins you just basically show up and it's first come first come seating. what card is it that you're going to? They had some guest fighters and some promo booths the day before and of the fight but it was International fight week so it was a little busier than a normal card. I've never been to the open workouts.

 

Speaking of MMA there's a ton of combat going on this weekend. i'm streaming Bellator right now while i am working. there's LFA and i think some RIZN on too. I kinda hate it when there are so many events going on at the same time on a given weekend and then you have so many weekends with droughts. even if they would spread them out over diff times of the day or diff days that would be incredible guys... c'mon who needs network competition!!? basically forced to have an espn+, ufc fightpass, and dazn steaming subscription.

I'm most excited for Wilder - Fury if i'm being honest tho. Hooker and Felder should be a banger tho and i think it's a tad earlier in the night due to foreign time. I like both of the guys too. same with wilder -fury i like both of them a lot !

 

Going to UFC 248 in Vegas

 

I'll have to dig more into the weigh in ceremony and other activities. I hope they have a meet and greet with guest fighters. I've only gotten to get a picture with Paige VanZant a few years ago at a local UFC gym.

So I'll be going to UFC Fight Night with Overeem vs Harris as the headliner.

Def not possible with ufc as long as the Reebok Era exists but one can dream. Would have been perfect in the Toyota Center for Jones vs Reyes! Hahah definitely doesn't hurt to pre-funk a bit to calm the nerves! I foolishly traded a shift with someone as he needed Saturday off then I realized that's the day of UFC 248 so I'll try to stream the fight while at work to watch your boy fight.

I'm gonna try to catch it. I've got to update my resume for a new position at work that I want to apply for ASAP.

 

His fight will be on the ESPN tv channel.

I’m excited about this one cuz I can DVR it. I have his LFA fights DVRd and all his others on dvds. Don’t like when his fights are on espn+ app.
