Leer's 'solution'. Between that and a tailgate seal kit, seems to take care of most of the water and dust.

That is correct. It is a very high quality 1.25” automotive bulb seal.

Definitely not too bad to do. We just sealed ours with some quality black silicone.

Mine is the long bed, had to notch the plastic bed rail cover. Bought some aluminum square tubing and angle iron, welded it up installed the plastic end caps, used the same mounting holes as the stock header bar. Not only did it take a minimal amount of caulking, I'm now flush with the bed rails, not higher/lower. The only leaks I have are through the top of my Retrax cover itself not the area around the bed.

There is a separate field for that lower in the product options.

We can make custom canopies to your spec - just need to know how tall!

@Adventure Ready do these come standard with a 3rd brake light or is this something that is done aftermarket?

    If aftermarket, any specific recommendations?

I have noticed some with and without the 3rd brake light. Thanks!

If it helps mine has a 3rd brake light. Not sure if it was standard though

I think they are though, DOT regulation and such.

I appreciate the response! I was able to talk to RLD. They said that on the first prototype and production run they did not come with the third brake light. All the newly produced canopies come standard with the third brake light! I’m glad this is the case since most states, including mine require one.

Looks like the RLD roof sits higher than the cab roof on 3rd gen tacos. Does it sit more flush on 2nd gen tacos since the bed isn’t as deep?

    Working on it!

It actually sits at the height of the tallest part of the cab, which is about in the middle, which is why it looks slightly taller at the back.
