How do you like the tonneau? I’ve been back and forth between grabbing this one or dropping the extra on a Bakflip.

    got some questions for y'all...

i've read a lot of comments in this thread about oil changes on the 3rd gens being a pain (like removing the skid plate, taking the filter off, oil going all over the place, etc.) so what are recommendations for making it easier? is there a skid plate that's easier to remove or has a hole in it to access the filter? is there a better way to change the filter? better tools, better methods? i am planning on buying a fumoto f-1013n drain valve to make it easier, but would like the whole process to be as easy and clean as possible.

i've also seen where some have installed the bed lights on the sides of their beds. does anyone have pics of them on at night so i can see how bright they are? not sure if adding them along with the cargo light would be too much light.

Thanks for any and all input...

Pro grille, POD lights, SEMA wheels.
Painted them. 5 coats base, 3 coats of clear. O’Reilly has a very high quality half spray can of touch up paints for Toyota. I, also painted the brackets and hardware on my pod lights.

Its just a regular oil change. I don’t think there’s anything “hard” about it. Removing the skid plate only takes me about 30 seconds.

People have messed up and taken the transmission drain plug out. The engine oil pan is smaller than the transmission oil pan so I think the throws people off. Just make sure you’re under the engine and not the trans.

0-20 oil is pretty light so it tends to slash when you first start draining.

I’d recommend to buy the oil filter socket from Toyota. Makes life a lot easier. I also drain the filter with the drain tube that comes with the new filter.

Use plenty of rags. I just buy a roll of shop towels from auto zone.

I don’t have the fumoto valve but a lot of guys like them

Nice job!!! Do the outline in TRD red! What's next?

(Gas door outline detail same as aforementioned, or perhaps a TRD bed decal "add-on" of the Woody style checkered flag or flame retrograde? , similar/same location placement as the biker in your lifestyle decal this)

"apparent retrograde motion,” because it is an optical illusion"

Love it. I had a T3 Tyger Tri Fold which was great. The T5 uses the same pieces that go into into the cargo system. Remove old tonneau , readjust them and clip down the cover. 10 minutes and I'm done . Nice
