Man, that’s some pretty harsh accusations being thrown around. They may or may not be green. But these guys are in love with their trucks, enthusiastic, and most importantly they are WHEELING. Situations change and so do people. We should be meeting and helping and learning from each other. I give a crap what anyone’s “tenure” here is.

Hey. I never once complained about damage to my truck. That’s what it’s for. I do however warn others that might not want spiderwebs before they make their first payment. Remember that poor guy that had his wife with him at TNF?:itllbuffout:

Had a second steroid shot. Lasted about 3 weeks. Neurosurgeon here wants to do surgery immediately. My left arm is losing strength due to nerve damage. Wants to fuse 5-6 and 6-7. I’m waiting to get in to Dr Robinson in Bham for a second opinion. I really don’t want to lose the range of motion associated with a fuse. Hoping disc replacement is on the table. :fingerscrossed:

    How bout some truck talk?

I’ve been running Dakars with the overload removed for a few years and other than the obnoxious squeaking I don’t have any complaints. I haven’t been towing or carrying more than camping gear and some firewood so having a smooth ride and flex off-road was my goal.
Now, my wife and I are really thinking about getting a pull behind camper. I’m thinking less than 3500 lbs dry weight. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna have to get 4.88s or 5.12s but how are some of the newer Dobbins springs for towing?

@tweakit88 have you done any towing yet? I think we are pretty similar other than the weight of the bumpers.

The only thing directed at you is the bad off-roading mentality. I did not one time insult your skill level, simply your mindset on it. You guys flipped your trucks on a dirt path in a rut because you didn’t use a spotter and didn’t know what you were doing. Used unsafe techniques or methods and then came in here and laughed about it and posted it on Facebook saying you “wheeled too hard”. Sorry this isn’t a place for stuff like that. I don’t want anyone promoting bad trail habits and unsafe practices. Yeah, you’ve blatantly ignored some of my questions and posts in here only to respond to mark when he said the same thing after me, so that kinda childish, but I don’t care. It’s just the mentality and the style y’all are bringing around that’s bad, and it’s never ending. Yes, you are somewhat lumped into it because Jonny made this his personal Facebook posting page. It’s literally, and I’m being serious as you should notice from others posts, it is literally not only me. This is not all just my opinions and thoughts. Look at the thread. Think about how you guys have acted. Jonnys “I haven’t talked to you in a year” like it was a good thing when it really just meant y’all were outwardly ignoring any of my posts but commenting towards someone else’s copy of it. Just childish lol. See marks post too, this thread clearly has changed, and the only thing different is that you and Jonny are the main posters vs like 12 other people that all left.

Again, I did not once insult their skill level, simply the mentality of thinking they have a better skill level and know what they’re doing and boasting about it. It’s not “wheeling” it’s trail riding and over landing, and they’ve messed up doing that and acted like the were pros. Nobody said they don’t love their trucks and aren’t enthusiastic. That’s a good thing. And I agree a lot with the things Jeff has said about loving new members and watching them learn and grow, but some act like they knew it all in one single day.

    Preach.

I contribute to this thread any chance I get, usually with a good morning Bama! It's genuine good morning to all of you fine Bama folks in here. I hate that this place "ain't what it used to be", but it's all I've ever known, and didn't know what it was like before I came here. I went back to my very first post in this thread where I introduced myself to all of you folks, and yall were very warm in your welcomes and I appreciate that. This is a public internet forum. As an analogy, internet forums are like bars. You walk in, get a feel for the place and the people. It has an atmosphere of its own. You can either blend in and like the vibe, or not. You're always free to leave said bar and go to another bar that you like. That's how I see forums. I stay because I like the people that me, my wife and even my kids have met! Life's too short to let what happens on an internet forum, dictate your emotions.

With that being said, good morning Bama! @gixxerphil is getting off right about now and usually here to say good morning as well!

Lol I loved your post. Not sure what private he said she said pms occurred but I think you were pretty spot on. I get blamed for a lot of stuff because I’m the voice. I’m confrontational and don’t mind it. Jonny gets blamed for a lot behind the scenes because people aren’t posting, mainly because he posts SO much like it’s a Facebook chat and they don’t even see the point in butting in. Honestly, I don’t care about most of it, the main thing has and always will be to me..

    being an overlander, is fine.
    Being a wheeler, is fine.

do not act like you wheel hard because you go over landing and you roll over in a ditch. It’s just unsafe and bad promotion. It is literally the shit the guys on the Facebook pages post. It’s a mindset and attitude thing and it just flows like water in this thread nowadays.

My Dobinson's kit is supposed to be here today and I got the heavy duty springs. I haul a lot of dirt, rocks, mulch and firewood for my dad quite a bit, so I'll let you know how they work out. I haven't seen any bad reviews on the Dobinson's springs either, so there's that!

Yes and go look at who used to post and what the mentality was like. You got fighting mad at me once because I disagreed with you and called you out on some things you said, claim you extended an olive branch, which just means you said publicly let’s move on but never really changed your attitude. Then you have blown this thread up and making sure every new person knew how nice and how welcoming you were to build your “clique”. You created the “cliques” in here. Hell even when some of us went off to talk about something else you were childish and even brought the dang mods in here. Nobody else has had that happen and you STILL acted like you did no wrong. That’s when the thread went to shit and people got tired of posting around you. You didn’t try to see if you “vibed” in the thread, you forced it to vibe around you.
