Setting still in neutral press and hold brake engine idles up to 1K. Let off brake idles back down. Never seen the likes. Something new or what?

Mine does the same. Thinking it’s normal, sometimes if I turn the steering wheel sitting still it revs up a little too

It's a thing, nothing's wrong. Could be to do with vacuum, could be load on the electrical system, could be expecting steering input, could be for AC performance, who knows... but its fine.

Normal operation. Direct injection engines have little to no vacuum in the intake manifold, therefore require a vacuum pump to meet demands of a vacuum brake booster. The vacuum pump is camshaft-driven and the engine idle speed needs to be increased to meet vacuum demands while holding the brake pedal down. There's also idle-up commands for power steering and A/C loads.

Dont most vehicles dont go anywhere until it hits 3k? Unless we talking about diesels or huge v8s.

OP my 2020 Pro 6MT bumps up the rpms when I’m on the brake stopped at a red light. If I pump the pedal the rpms will gradually raise to 1100-1200. Letting go of the brake it drops to idle immediately.

I Agree. Vacuum drop and Alternator increase for Taillights (minor) - If you can disconnect the vac hose to the booster and plug the hose from the engine - repeat and you should see it go away ... My bets on the Vacuum drop from the use of the booster ...
