Yeah good point, anywhere you find moisture you'll definitely have to use some type of enzyme smell/funk killer stuff.
Also, OP you can rent or buy an ozone generator and those work great for killing off funk smells, or cushion farts.... Oh that's so nasty Lmaooo:rofl::D

Any of you guys thought of the ozone generator? People swear by it. I checked youtube and it seems like the best solution

Dude yeah definitely use it! Use a good enzyme based odor killer. And then run the ozone generator and you'll be good to go baby. But you have to either kill the funk that's making the smell or get rid of the funk that's making the smell. You just can't spray perfume on poop and then expect it to smell okay long term. Short term the perfume or fragrance will mask smell. You want smell and smell causing funk eliminated. So it will take some scrubbing and extracting if you really wanna do it good.
    You feel me mang? :D

a simple thing to check is the evaporator case. Undo the 3 bolts holding the blower fan and remove the fan assembly. Reach up and feel the evaporator core for leaves/debris/dead things. If there is stuff up in there sometimes cleaning it works sometime you have to take the assembly out. to get it all.

I would use something like this on the seats and and floors, may end up needing to pull seats to get real clean. I'm not saying use theirs, just find similar based on peoples reviews. I would definitely use an extractor though. Let cleaner soak and break the shiz down so that everything can be extracted.

Above someone mentioned funk smell from your evap box and that's a real good suggestion. Do you notice funk specifically when you turn on the air?

I didn't/don't understand enough of how ozone works to kill smells but looks like these guys break it down rather simply. Also, ozone can be toxic in high volumes. You don't want to just sit next to an ozone generator and breathe it. I'd run it in the truck with windows cracked after you clean and extract the carpets and seats. It's good to understand the hows and why's to anything new:

How Does Ozone Work To Eliminate Odors?

As ozone is created it floats freely in the air and water. By nature it is an unstable molecule and has a half-life of approximately 20 minutes. Shortly after ozone is created it begins to break back down. It will cast off the first ozone atom, which will recombine with either another oxygen atom, reverting back to simple Oxygen (O2), or it will recombine with another gaseous element forming an inert gas losing all of its odor characteristics. Picture a room full of smoke; it is the phenol gas that is released that is the basis of the odor. It is in the air and on the surface of all areas exposed to the smoke. When introduced to that environment, the ozone quickly breaks down as it combines with the phenol gas molecule destroying all odor characteristics.

What are the Benefits of Using Ozone?

Ozone is very effective in eliminating odors including tobacco smoke, human and pet odors, food odors, mold and mildew odors, garbage odors, renovation odors and much more. It is not a re-odorant. It totally destroys the offending gases that are the source of everything we smell. Unlike many other deodorizing methods, ozone actually searches out and destroys the problem gases. It will react with contaminants in the air, water, fabrics and on other surface of the walls and ceilings. Unlike other types of air purification systems, an ozone generator does not depend on the air passing through the machine to do its job. Ozone generators also produce large quantities of ions via the corona discharge. The ions cause the dust particles to agglomerate, and precipitate from the air leaving a cleaner environment.
