    Howdy fellas,

Do y’all have recommendations on Tonneau bed covers for the short bed Tacoma? The dealership can sell me the OEM for $699. Should I just get that or are their better options for a similar price?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to bump the thread guys, but does anyone have pictures they could post of their Tonneau covers they like? OEM or otherwise.

The dealer covers aren't anything special over the aftermarket, I looked at them when I got my 2020 Pro.

I have the Truxedo roll up cover, love it. From AutoAnything for under $300 shipped last October, takes 30 minutes to install with one wrench.

Works just fine with the stock bed rails and bed rail hooks.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
I got this one on my last truck and will probably get the same one. A lot cheaper and did a great job. Comes with plenty of foam for waterproofing.

The price on OEM $699.00 is a good price people love them others don't and there is a lot of aftermarket around that price and the better ones go for a lot higher. For me it looks nice but heavy to remove when you need the whole bed (old man with a bad back). The good thing if you get the OEM and don't like it they sell fairly quickly here and on Craigslist mine I sold in just a few days. Also they leak so you won't have a totally dry bed but most do with some exceptions.

I’ve heard good things about those. What’s your opinion on it? How much did it cost you?

Dang, I really liked all of that until the leaking part. Thanks for the info!

I went with the Lomax Hard Tri-Fold tonneau - bought it from @GotExhaust here on the forum for $665 delivered. Easy install, looks great and no leaks.

    None... yet.
Yeah, I went the same route. Frankly amazed at the quality for the price. No modifications to bed needed, attaches to OEM rail system, and I can take it off or put it back on solo in about 15 minutes--less if I don't fiddle around with it to satisfy my OCD need to make sure it's perfectly centered.

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like it fits really well. What made you choose it over other brands?

If it says it fit a 2019 model, would it also fit a 2020?

Dealer may say they will sell the OEM for $700, but they won't follow through. Only way to get it is if it is already on the truck at purchase, buy it used from someone, or buy it in parts for over $2000. It's VIN locked, so they can't remove it from another truck and it isn't sold as a kit from Toyota.

Where were you two months ago, lol, right here in town for me. Put it on Facebook marketplace, it will sell in seconds. I had to go well out of state to get one.

Moved it from my 17 ORDC so it's been too long for this old brain to recall price.
