    Well I once replaced a transmission in my tech days on an XJR because a plastic shopping bag got wrapped up next to the rear output shaft seal burning it up. The customer didn't know because they were on a long road trip before it failed. We did try replacing the seal and filling it back up, but the transmission was pretty well gouched

    $$$$$

    So I guess Jaguars should stay out of mall parking lots

    I’m assuming (probably incorrectly) that it was the BSM harness? Those, from what I hear/read are pretty fragile, yes.

    Those TSS sensors look fragile, I think a single scratch from a brach or a chip from a piece of road debris would cause the sensor to malfunction.
