What size tires are you running on there, looks like 265/75/16s but I'm not sure...

Kind of funny that people say stick with stock when so many people jack their trucks up for no reason other than they think it's cool.

I think better shocks/springs makes a lot of sense even if you just want to improve the ride.

Sure, stock is fine for occasional off roading, but OP also wants a couple inches of lift so stock is not the answer. And I don't think anyone here is going to say stock is best even for occasional off roading. Adequate? Sure. But not great.

I'm still stock and I've done stuff like below, but sooner or later I'm upgrading my suspension because stock really isn't all that great.

Priority list for me would be the best tires I really need, air compressor, skids, then is a toss up between sliders and a lift at that point to be honest.

If you mostly are on road, you might consider digressive shocks. They will vastly improve every day and have excellent properties off road.

Just remember, if you go with kings, you NEED to do 4 backflips, have a pelican land in the bed of your truck, throw an egg at least 50 feet in the air and catch it without breaking, then tell your neighbor to get off your lawn, before they will ride like butter.

No idea why, just trust me :notsure:

Sounds like what I'm planning. How much did that lift it? Did the Dakar pack help with the camper shell? Mind now sits level and sags a bit if loaded with camping gear.

Perfect. Which Dakar pack? How much was it if you don't mind sharing. I was quoted something like $2500 for shocks/springs/leaf pack installed.

Also, how's the on road ride? Thanks.

on road is definitely stiffer ride but not harsh, it no longer dives when you hit the brakes fast like it did with stock suspension, also hardly any roll when taking corners.
