A light wipe down with Fluid Film after hand washing has kept my chrome in like new condition. It doesn't look wet, just shiny and dust and dirt don't stick to it any more than clean waxed body panels.

The use and warnings label on Purple power explain why you are now looking for solutions to problems you created by not reading warning labels before using caustic chemicals improperly.:crapstorm:

Have you used this stuff? It reminds me of the Toyota undercoating and makes me nervous

I've not had to, but I will when the time comes.

I have had some friends use it. Awesome stuff.

There are people on here who have done their whole vehicle, just like all the samples you see on the website.

Their encapsulator is very like POR15

But if it makes you nervous, don't use it. Not sure why you'd think it any worse than any other bed liner product, but whatever.

I used they’re liner to do my whole truck, i was really just looking at the frame stuff you posted.

If it’s like por15 it’s probably fine, it just read like it was similar to rubber undercoatings that acted as an incubator for rust.

    This? http://www.monstaliner.com/monstaliner_how_to_stop_rust.htm

Friend did his jeep cargo area. Cut out rusted floor, treated with this stuff, sheetmetaled in new flooring, treated that with this stuff, then did the bedliner.

It's not a show piece, but it's durable and not rusting.

Yes, I know it stays wet. You said you leave your truck parked for extended periods so who cares if it has a wet look. It will protect it from rust.

Actually, you now know that your bumper is not stainless. That's some pretty good info in my opinion. Now you can move on to the next step of fixing the issue.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Be careful of what you spray anywhere near aluminum or engine components. Some of those cleaners people comment on a corrosive to aluminum and degrade rubber. I would take the bumper off sand and refinish it.
