Which tire deflator do you use?

Which type of tire deflator are y'all using?



@C41n was kind enough to let me use his ARB tire deflator when we went out. It was like the style on the left in pic.

Gonna pick one up soon. I don't have any experience with the ones on the right. I'm thinking if you have 40s inflated to higher psi then the individual ones might be faster to air down... but if you are on stock, 33s, or 35s it probably doesn't matter?

I used to use Staun tire deflator. I say used to because I haven't gone off roading in 7+ years and not sure where I put them or else I'd ship them to ya for free

Both styles are nice and take pretty much the same amount of time to air down all 4 tires. I have both and greatly prefer the screw on and forget ones. If you go that route though, don’t get the cheap ones. They’re extremely slow. These ones are quality.

I have the ARB quick deflator. It came with the compressor. It works as it should.

This is the one @C41n let me use. Worked nicely.

 

They just suck to use in the cold with cold fingers. My fine motor skills go to shit once it’s below freezing.

 

That is the beauty of the home built unit. It will inflate and deflate and you can wear gloves when using it. It also works in the garage for winter tires or general tire maintenance.

Yeah it’s neat, just too bulky for me for just a deflator. I love the screw on deflators.

 

Remove core, put core back in when it starts whistling and that about 12 psi for me.

 

I use one of these. Great product but stupid expensive.

 

When I used to wheel my 93 pathfinder I used the staun's to drop from 32 to 15. Filling back up sucked, I have one of those noisy little pepboys compressors...my buddy with 37's had a scuba tank and head be done with all 4 way before me!
