Dealer just emailed. Computer is now showing an estimated arrival date at the port of Houston on April 29!! :taco::taco::taco::yes:

But apparently, it was configured with the LED headlights. o_O

The sales manager drives a TRD Pro and says he'd be willing to swap headlights with me though. Just gotta see what the harnesses look like :headbang:

    Timeline:

Oct 15 - Placed $500 deposit and "ordered" the truck (allocation request submitted)
Jan 14 - Allocation request accepted by regional manager
Feb 22 - Allocation date appears in computer
Apr 29 - Scheduled arrival date

eh.... just makes the truck look more like a plastic toy. I know they're brighter than the projectors, but I really prefer the look of the project housings.

It's trivial though. Finally getting my truck!!

Now just need to get some 2019 taillights, tailgate reinforcement, bed mat, and motorcycle ramp.

    Wow, that’s over six months.

What delivery did they estimate when you made the deposit?

They said it would be 2-3 months once the allocation request was accepted. Which is the main caveat; the allocation wasn't accepted until mid-January.

The new LED headlights perform better and for sure have better aesthetics. That’d be odd to downgrade

I’m not a fan of LEDs, they are often too directional and tend to blind oncoming drivers more if they are in the beam. I was all about LEDs until I started to use them. You may not notice how blinding they are to oncoming traffic if you always drive trucks/SUVs instead of low sedans and sports cars. Just my opinion, I really wanted to like them.
