    So I pulled pretty damn hard on it and it wouldn’t pop out.

    is there a trick here? 2017 tacoma. I’m confused..

    Did you remove the plastic nut first? also you need to pull back and out to clear the stud the plastic nut fits on.

    Yes, nut is removed. I got that piece over that stud, but then I was pulling pretty hard and it wouldn’t budge. Didn’t wanna pull harder and hear a crack. It’s almost like something is holding it in the middle.

    There should be a clip in the middle back edge (near the door), its just like all the rest of the white push clips, but it is angled so it needs to be pulled back and away from the panel. There is also a clip on the bottom I think thats covered by the sill panel trim.

    Take the nut off
    grab the end closest to the door and pull slightly back toward the center of the truck
    It’ll pop right off

    When you get it off , make sure the white tabs are lined up for Re-install. Mine is always a pita to put back in. Comes out fine though.

    Half the time they stay stuck in the truck. Gotta pop then out and put them back into the panel
