Mid Travel BS 2.0

You want the bypass shock to be as big or bigger than the coil over since ideally you will revalve things correctly so that most of the damping control is done by the bypass. So ideally you should go with a 2.5” bypass instead of the 2” as if you are really pushing your truck to the point of needing bypasses, you’ll end up with shock fade out of the 2.0

 

For my particular driving style and oh yea the LCA's already have z bracket to mount.
The rear is all pro standard with King 2.5 RR and timbrens at this time.

 

Nice 2.5 it is I have read your build and respect your opinion on these matters . I was hoping for the inputs on this shopping list.

 

For what it’s worth, a good revalve of your coil overs would probably be enough given you are stock length and spring over in the rear. The front will be way out performing the rear

 

The last run through the desert there was a lot of discovery about the front end and now it is time to upgrade

 

Oh also cant pass up an amazing deal on this gear so why not

I will worry about the rear later just a matter of time

 

Just be warned, this sort of setup is a gateway drug to LT.

 

What’s your truck setup weight wise? Extra armor, skids, etc?

There are a lot of benefits to be had to running a bypass up front. Most guys who do it will go LT though.

I’d be curious to know what these discoveries were and why you feel the bypass is the solution.

Time to upgrade setup

 

Limit straps and a proper revalve would probably do the trick for most stock length guys. But it doesn’t look as cool at the mall as bypasses do.

My copilot really likes the idea if it will make the ride any % better/more comfortable . Every trip out to the desert I come back with a new ideas that lead to next stage of development.

 

Then spend away. I’m not here to stop you lol. Maybe just the slight jealousy as I have been trying to find a good deal on bypasses for myself. My truck showed some weakness in the really big bumps in glamis last year. Latest revalve seems promising but haven’t been back to really test it

 

Ive got the setup you are talking about. It works well. When I added bypasses it really did make a big difference


BUT......................what really made all the difference in the world was this.



If I ever have to build a truck again 1 piece at a time I would do the rear first. You'll never know how good your front is until you tame the rear. SUA or link it, anythng else is a waste of time and money.
