My Dad had about a 1957 5.5hp Evinrude Fisherman we used on a 12 foot jon boat. Spent a lot of hours trolling for Shad on the Mattaponi River (VA)in front of that motor. @Crow_of_judgement post brought back some great childhood memories.
Dad's looked a lot like this pic I google foo'd.

Wish I had that motor today. Wouldn't be surprised if it was still in use somewhere...it was 15-20 yrs old when we were using it.

 

My Uncle had that same motor on a 8ft V bottom boat in Minnesota. I spent many summers running around the lake Crappie fishing with that.
