Just got and installed my LoMax hard trifold. Ordered it from GotExhaust. Super fast shipping to Florida and great price.

Anyone have the added bed rail off a 2nd gen and using this cover. I just want to make sure it fits with the bed rail up front of the bed before I order.

I can't imagine that it would have any impact. If you go back and look at some of the close-up pictures posted you'll see that the cover uses the existing rail to mount brackets that hold the Lomax rails level with the bed sides. Everything except those 4 brackets sit above the existing rail - there is nothing at the front of the bed to impede using a bed rail. I am actually using 6 of the OEM tie down cleats on the original side rails - just spaced 3 on each side between the brackets.

You should be fine with anything on the front bulkhead as long as it sets below the top edge.

Thats my concern, having the bed rail up front pushes the stock bulkhead up like 1/4”

To clarify a little, this is my truck after adding the 2nd gen bed rail and having to move the front bed rail cap up vs stock. I’m guessing this wouldn’t allow the cover to close right or sit flat and keep water out if it did latch.

After seeing the picture of your set up, I don't think it will fit properly. It sits flush with the side rails.

BadA** looking truck. Question on your Lomax. What is the dimension from top of bed mat to bottom of cross members on the underside of the cover? And THANK YOU for your service.

Thanks on the truck and it was my honor to serve.

There are not any fixed crossmembers. The hard tri-fold top sits on the rails you install using the existing bed rails. The bottom of the cover sits roughly 17 5/8" above the bed (I have a Toyota bed mat installed so there's maybe a 1/4" to 1/2" of more height if you don't have a bed mat.

Just a quick update on my lomax. Got a ton of compliments on the cover. I had some leaking near the front , but i think it was more because the side ways rain we were getting in VA. Overall though, i am really happy with the purchase.

Hey COL, nice looking truck. This will probably be the first add on mod I'll do. Let me ask, is it secure from being stolen?

Thanks to everyone in this thread for making the choice easy! I got mine installed this morning. I love the low profile look. Ordered from GotExhaust.

It’s as secure as any like this. The only ones more secure are the hardcovers like the Diamondback. But those are heavy and don’t fold, nor do they come off easy. These are more secure than a soft roll up but if someone really wants to get in they can pry it. But, they’ll break it trying to steal the cover since two panels have retractable plastic guides that hold the panels in place and the one closest to the cap snaps in place under the rail.

Thanks! Yours looks great too! I have yet to see an Army Green pro in person. Seems they fly off the dealer lots.
