Flying in to BNA tomorrow for a 3 day event for work. Never been to Nashville before. Any "must see" things? I have limited time but thought it would be prudent to at least ask.
    Thanks in advance!

What are you into? Best breweries are: Bearded Iris, Southern Grist, Smith & Lentz.

5 Points in East Nash is cool, good food & cool bars.

There's also a to-scale replica of the Parthenon which is pretty neat to check out.

If you go to Broadway it's just a bunch of super drunk people, just off broadway is a cool Barcade called HQ Beercade. Good drinks & free play arcade games (minus bubble hockey).

    Welcome to Nash!

If you're into Country music there is the hall of fame, Ryman, and Grand Ole Opry. If you go downtown to Broadway for drinks, and your into the history, stop at Tooties for a beer or two. http://www.tootsies.net/ Loads of Artist got their start in there.

If you like spicy food, get yourself some hot chicken. It's a Nashville original, and I do mean spicy. Prince's, Bolton's, or Pepperfire would be my recommendations.

Just started following this thread. Moved to Nashville last summer. Does this thread do meet ups or anything? Any sort of events?

Occasionally we do. It's pretty random locally. Next big meet is at LBL in March.

I need to know about your screen name though... DSM initials, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or Diamond Star Motors? I hope it's at least one of those.

Ok fellas, Footballs about done, weathers crappy so let’s get together for a beer and some food! Next Sunday the 9th around 5:00 at Sams Sports Bar Old Hickory, (Blue Turtle Bay Marina.). Catch up with some old buds and meet some new. Significant others always welcome. I’ll try reserving the private back room so a head count is appreciated for appropriate seating. Let me know if y’all can make it and hope to see you there!

A little bit off topic here, but what is the best outdoor range for shooting firearms within a reasonable distance in the Nashville area? I shoot at an indoor range which is no problem I just haven't found an outdoor range yet. Also going and paying like $20 bucks every time I want to shoot is a kick in the bean bag. Does anyone in this thread have a decent place?

Do you coordinate anything like this often? I am new to the area and won't be able to make it this weekend but I would be down for this type of stuff in the future.

Does anybody in the Nashville/Clarksville area have a recommendation for a shop that could swap 650lb springs for 700lb springs on a set of Icon 2.5" coilovers? Or have access to a wall mount type spring compressor that I could use?

Based on my reading, it is almost impossible to compress the 700#s with small/rental type spring compressors.

#1, spring compressors aren't necessary at all.

#2, 700lb springs? You hate your kidneys and teeth that much?

If you need the height, add preload. You’ll hate 700lb springs

Using the floor jack method will not work with an icon style coilover unfortunately (I wish it would).

Preload is already maxed, i'm at about 1.5 inches of lift with my bumper and winch, but i haven't added my skidplates or second battery yet, without the 700's i'll be back at stock height.

You have 2.125 inches of preload already?
