After the TSB to update the ECU my Taco drove like a totally different truck. Note, I do find driving it like a standard eliminates the sluggishness you would experience when attempting to accelerate quickly. Like the Ikea ad say, "drive it like you stole it" .

I bought this very useful obd2 scanner. Can read many different parameters. The 0 to 60 was a fun test ( 2 people in the truck and loaded with about an extra 150 to 200 pounds). You can also do 60 to 0 stop test etc. I needed this for one of my other vehicles and then I tested it on the Tacoma. It also has data logging which is a plus.

The OEM knobs definitely fall short.
I have two different sets that I like. One set is from @Tacowiede, the other is a set that mimics the OEM 4X4, fan, output and temp control knobs but I can't recall who I bought them from. Still undecided on which ones I like more, both are a HUGE improvement over the stock knobs!

Omg. You must be looking in my Tacoma, my co-pilot Riley's hair is everywhere!
Outside always looks spotless, inside needs a serious detailing. :anonymous:

Thought I was making a witty reply that maybe his neighborhood was a bit too dangerous, but I see there's a different interpretation. I wasn't anticipating being stereotyped, but these forums can be entertaining. Oh well. By the way, I may live in CA but I am not against gun ownership or freedom. Rock on, fellas!
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Don't off-road much, but you're right. I do need to get it up a little higher. I'm going to cut a little more off.

I had a '65 Chey Super Sport with a 283 and a jetted Rochester Quadrojet. When you hit passing gear that thing would snap your head back. For a 283 that thing got out of its own way.
    Memories. :)
Cruising, Drive-Ins, Car Hops, those were the days!
