They are on it from the factory. Mine peeled right off no problem.

That's because we have Sports. It is a locker warning label.

A lot of folks took it off with no problem, but there were two folks who said taking it off ruined their panels and that isopropyl made it worse. I never saw clear pictures, but it is very unlikely that isopropyl did any damage as I have used it for years on just about everything including the Taco interior plastic. The best guess was there was some residue left behind.

Ah ok, that explains why I didn't remember having it on mine. Odd place to put a warning about the locker, since there are no controls near there for it. Something up on the overhead console where the button is would make more sense, but I suppose there might not be room for it there...

Good to know. I might be trading in for a 2020 OR or Pro (still MT of course) and definitely would be wanting to take that eyesore off if it's there.

One of the first things that I did was peel off the warning labels in the bed. The visors labels took a bit longer, but getting rid of those was a huge improvement.

The first recommendation that I heard was 90%+ isopropyl with a few applications of GooGone / GoofOff to clean up the residue. But, a quality steamer was the real trick.

My main reason for wanting them gone is that I have a long torso and was distracted by them since they were just out of my line of side. So, patches or even matte vinyl would not have worked for me.

You're welcome. For best results, take the visors off and work outside the truck. Super easy to do. After removing the screws, the visor will remain clipped in. Just wiggle it off and disconnect the pigtail.

Yeah. Happens a lot when you ask them to get you a MT Tacoma.

Go to another dealer. I ordered a M/T in January, just waiting for build (mid-March) and delivery (late-April).
