Afternoon all.

Not enough snow overnight to justify the snowblower, so got in a little exercise with the shovels and broom. Even made the pups a racetrack circuit around the backyard.

Kind of a hard story but proud of my son and his buds. his softball team plays up and down the East Coast. one guy lives an hour away plays. his 6yr old had her tonsils out in Jan.they came home, she slept till supper time and when they went to wake her she had passed away.long story but the team started a go fund me page and hosted a benifit tourny. all things donated.Umps,consesions,fields, lights, trophys and high end bats to raffle. sold homerun wrist bands.(5 per team). some big time players showed up.they made good money to help this family. they won the tourney against some teams way out of their league.(payed players, MLB minor league players).prayers to this family. my son is in front row with the VT sweatshirt on.The father didnt play, he is struggling with the loss.

To those who have large rolling steel tool boxes / cabinets . Check your wheels for cracks and failures.
This box weighs aprox 450 to 525 empty with all the steel tools and equipment in it probably close to 1100 -1300 lbs . It has steel mandrels, clamps and heavy grinders etc . Note the wheel failure had this box tipped over ..

I have an old Home Depot flat cart that all 4 wheels lost their rubber tread in a similar fashion. I think they rotted off though. Building my cart on top of it is probably what did the wheels in though.

 

Better to happen while building than using

 

I've got a 18 yr old Snap On KR series roll away tool box maybe 1500lbs total weight with tools . All (4) wheels are scuffed on one side as if it was drug around with the wheels locked .It has never been moved around just sat in the same place for many years

 

Gotta check my one box on wheels. Thanks DogCop!
