I added a 2" lift, installed it myself. It took my friend 4 hours to do a very similar lift on his truck, it took me ALL weekend. So, that's not bad... I got Goodyear Duratracs, 265/75R16. I added 1.25" wheel spacers, as I didn't want to spend the money on new rims right now. I would have like to have gone with 285's, but they required wider rims. I actually still like the stock rims, even though I see them everywhere. I'll buy new rims and go to 285's when these tire wear out.

I added a 3TPAM, I love it. Although, I was disappointed that it doesn't really have a way of routing wires into the dash. My whole point was I wanted everything to look very clean, with no wires running everywhere. So, I drilled a hole in the wiring cover, and then I drilled a hole in the top of the bezel on the driver's side. This actually worked out well.

I got a Yaesu FT-8900R, though I don't yet have my license. Still studying. I got a Nextbase 522GW dash cam with a rear facing cam. I mounted it where I did because in Nevada, technically you're not supposed to put anything in the windshield except for the bottom right 6" X 6" square area. I made brackets for the Ham Radio and the dash cam from misc. hardware and painted them flat black. The dash cam vibrates a little, but I can live with that. I got an Auxiliary Fuse Block Bracket from Overland Equipped. I was actually very disappointed, immediately after install, my power brakes went out. Turns out the top edge of the bracket cut through a brake wire housing and blew the jcase fuse.

So, I cut the bracket, it fits much better now.

I got a Blue Sea 5032 12 circuit split buss fuse block, as I wanted to have some accessories always powered, like a usb charger, and some accessories to turn on and off with the ignition, or accessory. I got a 100 amp circuit breaker, and a 75 amp relay. To switch the relay, Caribe Makaira (a well known user on Tacoma World) spend the better part of a Saturday walking me through how to wire to the underside of my fuse block. This was probably the toughest part of all of this for me. The relay box is tricky to get out. Once I did, I tried to pull the green wire out (The one just to the left of the big yellow one) so I could re-crimp the two wires together, I suspect it is not a slip on connection, it wouldn't come out. So, I just wedged a male connecter in and wired it all back up. It's working great.

That big bundle of wires on the right is for when my Southern Style Slimline bumper with a 20" LED Light Bar gets here. I ordered it 12 weeks ago (this Tuesday) from Vivid Racing. They said to allow 10-12 weeks for fabrication. There's also a wire for rear lights if I ever order the

Anyway, that is about it. Just waiting on my bumper (I did buy a WARN 8000LB winch, a synthetic winch cable and a WARN aluminum hawse fairlead. I'm thinking about an Ultra Hook from Factor 55).

I like my Tacoma even better now that I've put some work into it!

Got windows tinted. Geoshield Pronano Ceramic. 20% on fronts, 35% on rears. From inside it looks like an EXACT match. From the outside, if looking carefully, it looks like the fronts are just sliiightly lighter than the backs, which was the goal.

I've also removed the air dam on the front (not pictured).

Up next, Amber LED fog light bulb replacement, and maybe some interior footwell LED's if I can manage to figure out how to wire it up the way I want.

Back in the day Friday night was cruise night. Everyone would go to Abdows Big Boy and show off their rides. I'd usually order up a Brawny Lad, some fries and a Coke, Car hops were the bomb, sure miss those days. Saturdays were usually spent with my significant other, now the Mrs. A six pack, french fries and one of those horrible drive-in pizzas. Life was good! I feel sorry for a lot of the younger crowd that never got to experience those times, they're all but gone now.
Good times and a lot of good clean fun!

For many, a holster in the truck like you saw, is used only while driving. If one wears their sidearm on their hip, it can get uncomfortable while driving. Especially, if one conceal carries their pistol IWB.

I bought this very useful obd2 scanner. Can read many different parameters. The 0 to 60 was a fun test ( 2 people in the truck and loaded with about an extra 150 to 200 pounds). You can also do 60 to 0 stop test etc. I needed this for one of my other vehicles and then I tested it on the Tacoma. It also has data logging which is a plus.

56 degrees tomorrow. Thinking I might even do a mod or two. Maybe the behind the cab accessory rail and a second one secured lower with some rivet nuts so I can securely Mount my recovery treads and maybe my 4 lb. extinguisher if there is enough room.

I’ve got a drive in movie theater about an hour from me. My wife and I went maybe 3 times last summer now that I’ve got the truck. A few old couch cushions, my old college comforter, and a portable speaker and we had a blast!

Once jetted right they weren't too bad.
I couldn't afford a Holly back then but yeah that would have been the way to go. My Dad knew how to squeeze the most out of a motor without spending a lot of cash so for me that Quadrajet worked just fine. That thing ran like a top thanks to him.
