Originally the cleats were install in the original locations correct. Then I had to remove them to match up correctly with my crossbars on my bed rack. With that said, I had the holes from the original locations filled temporary right now, but my guy is going to refinish the bed cover for me when it get to better weather.

I didn’t pair them with any crossbars. I made all my own stuff. All of this is made from scratch. Everything is designed by me and welded together from complete scratch. Like brackets and all. Literally. The only thing you will be able to purchase is the Thule Roof Rack Gutter Mount Foot Packs.

Just finished installing the Front Runner set-up. Next is unpacking the CVT and testing that out. Also, looking for a bike rack to use too. Any suggestions?? Thinking of Thule UpRide, Yakima FrontLoader or Rockymounts Brass Knuckles.

Not sure if this really counts as a modification question but looking for some sort of containers that I can strap to diamond back to give me extra storage. I manage some rental properties and have a boat docked down at a marina a few miles from my house. I have found a few times where the storage under the cover just isn't enough for tools or items for boat.

I had thought about getting a rack and then some containers I can strap easily to that but that would make it hard to open the cover though I do like the idea that the rack would get me above the lock handles which I know have been a pain when trying to put lumber up there. Are there any containers that are a good width to maximize storage without the handles getting too much in way.

If you want the best bike rack, just get a 1Up. They are expensive but all aluminum construction and great product support. I have 4 of them.

roam has a variety of cases in different sizes that you could use. Can go with Plano if you want to go for a cheaper, but still good quality route. Not as tough as the roam cases but stackable.

+1 for 1up. I have one of their hitch mount carriers, and it's crazy how nice that thing is. Originally ordered one from Thule, and it had wayyyy too much plastic on it so I returned it and got a 1up.

Also, just to give you an idea of just how strong that thing is, I drove my truck to the top of mosquito pass in CO with that carrier and my bike attached to the hitch. It held up like a champ, and that's some extremely rocky rugged terrain.

Thanks for jumping in:thumbsup:. I love their hitch racks. I’m glad Bannerman chimed is because I was loading some Yakima’s in my Amazon cart. Closed that and gave 1Up a call on their roof racks and even picked up a cooler to boot LOL:spending:

I have the little grizzly cooler, I guess when you order enough they send it to you. Pretty solid.

I want KB Voodoo Bike Rack that they use to make

However, they only made a few of them. Now, they make the ones that mount to the side of your rack. Looks like I will be having a fab shop make me some brackets like these unless anyone knows of a place now that makes these now.

Don't know of someone that makes those, but @Unchained 5150 has a set. Maybe you can get some more deets from him?

This is really cool, I’m debating between the 270 and the SE myself. How useful do you find the 270’s front doors day to day? And do you ever wish that you could get full access to the back like the SE/HD? Also how strong is it where the Thule feet mount up to the cleats on the DB cover, any concern with them handling a heavy load?

    Awesome truck!

I park in areas that have falling items, branches, sap, rocks, bird sh*t, etc. I already had rust, oxidation present so I didn't want to mess with a paint job.I also have a roof rack (ARB) not pictured...

Additionally, I plan to swap hoods and line x it as well to have it as a table while camping/expedition...

Again, this is my truck no one else, IDAF if you like it... JS...

    Cheers!
