So In reality i can operate the anytime backup camer/front with this module since a/b would both be on which is needed for the front camera to work

I have to suggest don’t use a 1/2” drill bit and possibly use smaller than a 3/8”.

I used a 3/8 and it’s a clean hole but it did take out 2/3 of the back knob clip (even going at it at an angle). Now the knob kind of lifts off in the back (this is also testing it off the truck by just clipping knob and collar together- I’ll find out how it is once threaded here in a little bit). But the chrome delete shift knob collar cover seems to also lift up in the back exposing the chrome. I might need to put a dab of Some kind of adhesive connecting the 2.

I’d probably recommend a 5/16 drill bit to start and even use some flush cutters from the underside and cut some of the fins

better pictures than the ss I posted earlier from Meso’s video
    image.jpg image.jpg

edit: once the knob is threaded, its a non issue. The collar snaps in place and isn’t loose nor showing any chrome. Disregard

IMG_4180.jpg Finally got around to finish my install after all the rain storms here. Took the time and used a black laundry marker several times to get rid of the red stitching.Go slow and use several coats. And got the glovebox cover to complete the chrome delete. IMG_4179.jpg Also the Stage 2 setup with PAC-TR7 module for RH switch. I added to MESO's harness to use both ECT switches at anytime. Had to add wires for the dash lights in switch to work.

Install went well, I realized I forgot the damn chrome delete cap after everything was all buttoned up. DON'T FORGET THE CHROME DELETE CAP. Also, I drilled a hole and used zip tie to secure the wire coming from the shifter. Probably overkill. Good job @MESO

Was wondering if you might be able to point me to the correct wires to tap into. I don’t believe I need/want the tr7 though for this. It’s the beat sonic front/rear camera system (I know front camera installs have been covered but don’t think this kit has and it’s a little different, extra box, than the anytime kit offered around here). I also want to keep the momentary function for the 2nd stealth knob switch.

currently my camera switch is a single switch - 1 press brings up front cam- 2nd press brings up rear- 3rd off.
3 wires to the switch (assuming power, ground, illumination) I’m guessing that I can tap into 2 of the 3 wires here to allow the momentary switch to work and also keep my camera switch functional?

switch wires run to a secondary “box” behind head unit which has all the wires of the kit going to it.

If you could get a jumper wire you could verify the wires. With system ON, jump wires black to red. Do this from behind where the wires go into the connector, leave switch connected.
When you get camera to switch with the jumper, move jumper then press the switch to get it the camera choice changed. Change it again with the jumper.
My guesstimate is green is illumination.

Edit: @kjhadfield tested green to red for camera selection/switching. None latching to match MESO's Shift knob switch.

So let me get this right, using feature 16 would in theory work for the anytime back up camera because it has a double latch feature?

I'm not sure. I was just reading the instructions again and mode 16 has the following phases
    1. Latch white(-) wire
    2. Latch orange(-) wire
    3. Latch both white(-) & orange(-) wires
    4. All outputs off
I'm wondering how a camera system would respond to phase 3.

Currently testing out a different mode to see if its phases are just 1,2,&4 from above. Will post back after test. Someone else might know its plausible with negative power to toggle the cameras... maybe @caribe makaira ?

I tried last summer with a plug directly into override harness and no dice

edit: but what you have seems a little different so again theoretically maybe possible

First latch turns on camera 1, second latch turns on camera 2?

No feature, no TR7//just Meso's knob switch...just parallel switch to the BeatSonic switch...(no illumination...)

@kjhadfield hasn't answered if he did the jumper wire. It could eliminate an additional wire running back to the switch. The Meso switch could be tapped to red and the other wire to center console area ground. (Inverter ground bolt)

I have the anytime backup camera mod right now. Pre 2020 camera. So with this mod you push one button and the reverse camera comes on. You push another button (with rear camera on) and it activates the front camera (I put the camera up front). Front camera is only activated with the rear button on.
