It is funny you should ask that, I literally just got done updating my website. Like completely and I just put down that 5th Gen 4Runner Heads Up Display - Coming Soon!!! I don’t think this specific one will. However, my plan is once I get this one off and running, at vendors request. He wants me to first produce the HUD and the Driver’s Grab Handle for the 3rd Gen. Once I have done those two, he has given me the green light to to do whatever else I want. My plan is to do the 5th Gen 4Runner and 3rd Gen Tundra just like this because I know you both have the same exact location panels. 2nd Gen Tacoma needs an on Dash HUD and I need to check 2nd Gen Tundra.

FYI...if you are an owner of another model and you are on this checking this out. Feel free to let me know your interest levels. I do not know that you are interested if you do not hit me up and inform me.

Watching the videos of you driving at night with so much fog, I suggest you spend 200$ on something useful and get SS3 SAE SPORT fog lights.
    So far, not impressed.

I have fog lights I just didn’t have them on. Trust me, I have plenty of lights. The fog wasn’t even bad

Any reason why I saw the reflection of the unit itself on the windshield?
I like the idea, but it seems obstructive.

This is what it looks like without the film at night. I’ll see if I have a pic without it during the day.

I would be interested to check it out. Id purchase one of these, but your video threw me off a bit because of the reflection.

I still see the reflection. Is it because of the color of the device, or is it the angle of the photo shot?

Videos are tough and they really don’t give it justice to be honest. It is actually really clear and I think you’ll be surprised

This is what it looks like without the film in the middle of the day. It was overcast tho so I don’t have a sunny day to show you yet and I prefer the film. Haha so...but there you go

The more I see the pictures of the display in your Tacoma the more I'm convinced it will project onto the area where the PA inspection stickers are placed - and it isn't possible to get the low enough to be out of the way. It must be a function of the dash/windshield angles - the videos from the other versions seem to project higher. Bummer.

That would be a no-no in Texas. But at least we did away with the inspection sticker and only have the registration.

Are you in PA? By law, they are supposed to be placed in the lower left of the windshield.

That looks pretty good even without the sticker and should be even better once you have production ones in black rather than the white prototype, so it isn't quite so distracting.

I hate to poo poo on the concept, because I really do like it...but having the info outside of the normal line of sight really defeats the whole purpose. It needs to be in line with the middle of the travel lane. A slight glance down is WAY better than down and over. I have several thousand flight hours in airplanes with HUDs, and there's a reason that they're designed to display right in your line of sight.

Yeah. You would be surprised how much difference going from no film as the pictures above to the film. It was like going from needing contacts or glasses for the first time. You’ve been going your whole live with the one vision and then all of a sudden you put the film on the windshield and it was like wow, that’s how clear it really it. That’s what it is supposed to look like and I’ve been seeing it like that this whole time. Dang. That’s how I would explain the difference.
