Really? The dead giveaway will be whether or not this truck has intermittent wipers...

Used truck = any fuckery including adding fog lights and intermittent wipers could have been done by the first owner, selling dealer etc.

Unless there's some special SR5 with no flares for some region

SR5 badges are cheap and add value

The flares well they're super expensive

Have you created a Toyota owners account?

Those random VIN checkers on the internet are garbage

It's my understanding that all SR5s came with fender flares unless Toyota was building special models for certain regions with none.

    IMO you got hosed

Well, I bought it for economy reasons in the first place hence trading in the mustang GT. So I figure if I go down that rabbit hole it invalidates the whole reason. So I'm gonna buckle down, pay it off, then either mod it or get a real Tacoma with 4x4 and better engine or turbo a v4 lol.

So the only extra thing for now will be getting the key fobs for this. Once tires run out I'll get some nice on/off roads.

Also I don't off road. But I did go really fast over the speed bumps at the mall.

FYI your steel rims with 245 tires weigh 66 lbs. With your rims coming in at 32lbs most aftermarket are in the 20 lb range. So lots of room for improvement + performance if going to a lighter rim.

Oh trust me I had everything specced out already for new lightweight wheels and on/off road tires. Was thinking SCS Stealth 6 wheels.

At the dealer now and yeah it's about $400 for key and program lulz. Oh well I might just bite that bullet cause I don't want to buy the key and it not work. Getting the oil changed and 5k service done just to be safe. Probably Overkill but it's been a year and who knows what was done before hand. I like knowing the exact history of my cars maintenance history.

Yeah it's what it is. I'm not sweating $400 for the added feature and knowing it will work even if I get raped. Plus it will build a relationship with the dealer in case I ever need warranty work.
