I just put a Vortex 3-9×50 on the .308, it wasn't the most expensive, it wasn't the least expensive, but it is amazing how much of an improvement it is over the old glass I had on there.

 

I go to my back yard mainly, I've a 50yd range that im trying to bring out to 100.
Or I go to elite in Manassas. And yes I did use the range at c.f. Phelps as well

 

If I change some angles and knock out some extra trees I can stretch it to 250-300.

Ouch that's a lot of doll hairs! Granted its nowhere near new cost, but considering I still managed to get my truck in the $20k's
But it is a turbo diesel!

 

Do you need help? I've got a chainsaw and I'd love to have somewhere to shoot with a little distance.

 

There is a range near my house with 4 shooting ranges including pistol, 50 yard, 100 yard and 300 yard range (You are able to shoot at 200, 250 and 300 yards on the 300 yard range)

It is my favorite scope so far. Fantastic up in the mountains in low light and crystal clear. I tried Nikon on a couple of rifles and just didn’t care for them. So back to Leapold I went. That is about the best shooting combination I have ever had

Drove past a house in Warrenton yesterday with garage right of Bear Wallow Road/Hunter Dr that was for sale by owner. Not sure if listed but I thought about you. Not sure what the requirements for you are either.

Ambulance style body is nice but had flyrust that was painted over. Overpriced for sure!

Yup, that place is neat.

Highly recommend joining your local Izaak Walton Leaque as well if they have ranges for those that are looking to shoot.

Thankfully I've only shot my buddy's 338 lapua at the old range a few times...and I forgot to throw out the .224 that he built up on an AR platform this past fall.

Guy has been trying to sell that Defender for a while. He wants way too much for it. When he first listed it there was another Defender for sale that was in much better shape for about $10k less.
