Morning TTC!! I thought PT was from 0630 to 0745?

Good Morning TTC, wherever you be. I be at Kia. Again.

 

So, a general question for TTC. Anyone else have a 2017 Off-road that eats batteries? If I let my truck sit for 5 days the battery is dead. No codes, alternator working correctly, nothing left on. I have not yet put an amp meter on it to see what the “off” load is.

 

Never had that issue on my prior 17 in the almost 3 yrs of ownership. Left her for a month once, still fired right up. I did have an aftermarket AGM battery though.

 

Do you have any aux accessories added to it?

PS I do have a agm 24F battery for sale less than a year old and has a good warranty.

 

Yes, and have electrically isolated them and still get dead battery.

Yep, I have my 17 4Runner set up the same way and it can sit for a month and start right up

 

So you wanna buy a agm battery to fix it.

It has a NAPA agm in it. Third one.

 

Big battery time !! Have you been charging it at least once a month on a agm compatible charger?
Newer autos have the smart charging setup which doesn’t allow proper voltage to actually top off a agm at recommend 14.5-14.8. So it basically stays in a partial charge status.
3rd gen is SOL last I checked but 2nd gens can get a fuse to increase it.

If it’s completely dead and won’t charge you have to Jerry rig a dual battery connection using a charger. Here’s a quick how to it’s not complicated.

They can't make origination fees and/or interest on cash you silly man! Best bet is to not mention method of payment until you are sitting in the financial stooges office to start signing papers.
