Ha! They did not mess with me much on the equipment maintenance side of things but they would put the Sanitation side through hell all the time.

My brother's dental practice got the most ridiculous 'citation' when they audited him last week, I'm an understanding type of dude but this truly borders on STUPID or intentionally evil. I MEAN STOOOOOPID STUPID.
To be honest, being done by the government it's likely both. :D and I'm pretty sure I stole this meme from one of our brothers here in this thread too, it is appropriate and is my favorite meme of allCDC41EC0-E27D-469A-B4C4-3EF4B3775CD1.jpg

    you buy a boat?
asking because I was recently told (because I'm selling two boats) that due to a post hurricane Harvey influx of non titled (suspected stolen) boat and motor transactions TXPW is no longer issuing titles to boats/motors if an original title is not presented with proper signatures.

When pops passed, he had two boats, went to have them changed and the TXPW office in College Station said that due to all the stolen boats/motors out there right now that if I didn't have an original signed title they would not process any title transfers. Lucky for me I found both boat and motor titles. Maybe the Office in your area will be more accommodating. Anyhow just wanted to give you a heads up.

yeppers. boat and outboard motors are separate titles. so is the trailer although in TX if the trailer is under 4k lbs it does not need title to be registered.
One of my boats has three titles >boat, motor and trailer.
the other sterndrive only has one title for the boat. no trailer title.

here it is right off TXPW page on boating.

"Sec. 31.045. OWNERSHIP OF VESSELS AND OUTBOARD MOTORS; CERTIFICATES OF TITLE.

    a. The ownership of a vessel or of an outboard motor is evidenced by a certificate of title issued by the department, unless the vessel or the outboard motor is new.
    b. The ownership of a new vessel or a new outboard motor is evidenced by a manufacturer's or an importer's certificate executed on a form prescribed by the department.
    c. Separate certificates of title are required for vessels and for outboard motors.”

Effective January 1, 1994, all motorboats and all outboard motors must be titled.

    • All motorized vessels, regardless of length (including any sailboat with an auxiliary engine);
    • All non-motorized vessels (including sailboats) 14 feet in length or longer; and
    • All internal combustion (gasoline/diesel/propane powered) outboard motors must be titled.
    • Applications for title must be submitted not later than 45 days from the date of purchase.
    • Boat trailers are handled through your local County Tax office.
Purchasing Used Vessels/Outboard Motors: DO NOT purchase a used vessel/boat or outboard motor without receiving an original title (signed on the front and back) along with a signed bill of sale from the person(s) listed on the title or from their legally documented representative. If a legal representative signs the title or bill of sale for the recorded owner(s), you must obtain a copy of the documentation authorizing the legal representative to act on behalf of the owner(s). Texas Parks and Wildlife is not authorized to register/title boat trailers, those are handled by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles through your local County Tax offices.
