I watch Tesla closely, as well. I find it very interesting. It is a completely new format. It doesn't make sense, but people keep pouring money into it.

I don't own it, but like to watch it.

I would disagree with that. What if you dollar cost average, for 30+ years, reinvesting dividends? You should have millions by then.

it was more of a joke, I've got funds in both.

Money that I keep tied up in long term, but then funds set aside that I gamble with.

Are we at a tipping point for a bear market or is this just a dip in a perpetual bull market?

I'm in my early 20's and just put my savings in the market a couple months ago. I have a feeling my timing was bad but hey whatever I'm not touching it

I get it, this isn't a joking thread.

Penny stock are too much gambling, that's a for sure get rich quick scheme.
On my side funds I look for quick fluctuations of 2-5%, not doubling my money in a day or losing it all.

I know what you mean, we have posted on this thread enough. The only problem with those "get rich" opportunities is the possibility of losing everything you have. Put all of your money in TSLA, you might 10x it, or you might end up with 1/10 of it. Not for me!

The wise ones will tell you to "keep calm and dollar cost average". Especially now.. because each contribution you make on a downward swing will make your average cost per share go down anyways, and by a lot more than when you have a big nest egg built up.

The more risky part of me says sell it and consider buying back in under 3050. Not financial advice!

I'm all for the jokes.. I guess I got the sarcasm in your first post about "getting rich" but ya know.. there's some new folks in the thread that might not know any better and might get mad at us lol

I bought into tesla at about 250 and sold around 475. Yes I sold early, but at the time I was happy with my earnings and hindsight is always 20/20.

I forget all the different personalities that may come in here, especially the new ones who may not pick up on sarcasm quick enough and actually take somethings as truth.

I am sitting on some cash hoping to make a downpayment on a condo soon, but I can throw in another $5k-10k into my brokerage account right now. I was planning to after this coronavirus thing. I'm just worried we are seeing the beginning of a long bear market especially with the election coming up
