Buying in now and expecting a massive return would be the same as buying in to Tesla right now and expecting a massive return. Every year people say btc is going to run, buy it now and sell in 18 months, etc. In 18 months, btc will not be at $50k, it’s been struggling to get back to where it’s at. Despite what the very short history of btc says, it’s not a smart investment.

Actually it wouldn't be like buying Tesla right now. Not at all. Someone who has been involved in any market, especially bitcoin markets for 10 years would know these cycles and how BTC cycles are vastly different than the current Tesla run. I'll check back with this thread in 18 months and you can call me a fool :)

Back in the day I was running 26(!) 1080Ti GPUs on about 5 Asus Z270 mobos. Had free electricity to boot! Mined ZEC and would use it to buy BTC. Sold the 2.54 BTC that I accumulated just before the Christmas school break in late 2017....Sold the GPUs shortly after when rumors of ASICs killing GPU mining started floating around. Easy $$$$ if you were mining at the right time. Timing was pure luck on my part...

43k before the recession in 2007 out of college

the real trick was finding a place that valued me as an employee and saw potential . If you can find that ride it out (its rare). I saw my pay skyrocket 40% in 2 years

I was gonna post earlier but didn’t want to rub it in. #nostudentloans I got my tacoma when I decided my other tacoma was too gnarly for date night, so I retired it to my driveway. I didn’t save up for it. I’m an American for gods sake. The money is great out here if you do what I do.
