Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau

I got the only one my dealership has been allocated so far. It is rare to see them sitting on the showroom or lot.

 

After all the talk about the Lomax I decided to get one. I already have a solid fold but I get some leaks on the sides and I heard a lot of good reviews on the Lomax and that it stay pretty dry. E-mailed @GotExhaust and did the transaction yesterday evening. So my Extang Solid fold went up for sale at Craigslist but I listed here also in the Buy / sell / Trade section.

Did you get this fixed and was the gasket the problem?

 

Hey Mark, you need to put an army logo on the side of your Tacoma. I plan on putting an Air Force star and stripe like was on my aircraft, maybe in ghost.

 

I am tempted!

 

I have this question for GotExhaust. as a PM but I would like to ask the thread anyway. If you have a good seal already on the corners of the bulk head do you have to do as the the installation diagram shown.

 

Just picked up my Lomax cover. Anyone else inbox there’s to find the weatherstripping was not included?

 

I heard somebody say they found theirs between the cover leaves.

 

Checked that. Wasn’t there. Was curious if it was still included. I didn’t have a packing list that said one way or another.

 

My weatherstripping was in a bag with an alcohol wipe. I had to unfold the cover to find them.

Reached out to the place I bought it from. Luckily they are mailing it to me.

 

Ordered mine late last week from truckalterations and was able to get it installed yesterday afternoon between some rain clouds. Super easy installation after watching the couple of videos on this thread and was able to get it installed in about 30~ minutes without any extra help.

Definitely love the low profile look - Now to just hope I got the weatherstripping done right and it keeps the PNW rain out.

The manufacturer told me that this bulkhead seal should be fine and had no need to change it.

 

Can I add rack on top of the Lomax?

Finally got mine installed. Love the look and functionality of it. Since I’m in Chicago we aren’t getting much rain this time of the year. Snow if anything. I ran it through the car wash today and I’m getting some water just as a couple of the other guys have said. Nothing major but enough. I’m going to seal the tailgate this weekend. Hopefully that will help some.

For those of you that were getting some water along the edges what did you guys do to fix the issue?
