Wow... Does anyone know the specs on the HILUX for 2011? HP? Torque? We dont know it but this may be nothing compared to the new HILUX. We dont get luxuries like 345 lbs/tq like everyone else in the world does.

p.s. why does everyone else get those roll bar things on the bed and rear glass protectors? I think its a sign that other parts of the world use their trucks for more than just driving to/from work and they actually use it for work so the factory needs to provide more protection for the bed area....

First gen went 95-04, would it really surprise you if 2nd gen went 05-14?

I like the interior of the ford, and I hope it is a good truck, because that will mean Toyota will have to make the next gen Tacoma that much better.

Ummmmmm, I'm gonna pass. Ford and dodge got out of the Mid-sized truck market, in large part, due to the Tacoma. I don't think that thing is gonna help them.

I wonder if the power steering pump howls as much as all the other furds I've heard? Don't forget the muriatic acid to clean the oil spot off the driveway.

As long as the front diff doesn't go bad and frame rust like my Tacoma, I will live with the howling

I think that's what you'd call a Ranger fail. My first truck was a ranger and I drove it for 4 years until i totaled it. It looked 5x better than that crap - when it was in the junkyard!

I don't like it either... the front end looks too SUV-ish like their Edge. and that antenna on the front center screams Ford Fiesta. and the faux vents under the side mirrors is too F-350 for me. just my two cents

When I was young I used to HATE imports because I was an American and drove only American. I bought my first used 99 Taco 5 years ago and will never regret my decision. The economy and reliability speaks for itself. I still own my 87 Chevy & won't part with the beast, it's been as reliable as the Toyota, and has even hauled broken Toyota's on my trailer.
