Well RIP my little buddy Kat, spent the morning crying over having to put him down. Guess that's not too manly to say but...

Found out he had leukemia, pillow paw, and a really bad respiratory infection, VET said he would just suffer and never really get better, he wasn't quite five yet.

He was the sweetest gentlest natured little guy. All black bob tail.

Fuck manly or not... it’s your pet. If you were a decent owner, you should be broken up about the little guy! Sucks but good that he’s no longer suffering.

 

Nothing un-manly about mourning the loss of your pet. They're family to most of us. The only person that cried harder than me when we put down my wife's cat Mo was my wife, but I was a wreck especially at the vet when it was happening. If anything I was more of a wreck because I was trying to hold it back but failed miserably lol. It was very sad though, I grew to love that furball even though he peed all over the house.

When we had to make the same decision for Ponce it was the first time my daughter saw me cry.

Very difficult experience for anyone to go through.

I'm Sorry everyones losses too.

It'd been a while since I balled like that. It literally made me bend over the toilet and dry heave a couple times. Plus I've already been stressed so did't help.

 

So sorry to hear about your loss. I still get torn up or losing our Angel and Lexi, but they'll be at Rainbow Bridge waiting to greet us when it's our time. For now, as other's have said, he's now pain free, running, sleeping, and chasing others while having a blast doing it. They ARE members of our family, pure and simple. You know you're here if you need us.

I’ve said it here before. It took us 15 years to be ready for another pet after Clyde died. (first cat with my wife). We think he died from complications from a wet jet, they were new back then. Still have his ashes. So if anything you’re reaction as you should.

In my experience its best to let it out when it comes up, otherwise it'll come back up eventually when you least expect it to. Grieving a loss is nothing to be ashamed of

 

naw not a prob here, just shows you are human. Sorry to hear of your loss and condolences, but better than to let them suffer.
