Many years ago when I moved to Florida, I was in Green Cove Springs (south of Jax) for several months.
Does Lynyrd Skynyrd ring a bell?

Anyway, I went fishing at Vilano Beach as often as I could.
That's across the inlet just north of St. Augustine. Away from the touristy places.

There was this old black guy with a cane pole who showed me how he fished for Sheepshead off the jetty.
They look kinda like a Bluegill but way bigger.
First he'd catch a couple hermit crabs from the crevices in the rocks of the jetty.
He used a small hook and fairly light line because Sheepshead are nibblers that will steal your bait easily if you're not paying attention.
He'd fish close up to the end the jetty where they tended to hang out.

I never managed to catch one, though I caught Black Drum, Whitings, Bluefish, Dogfish, Weakfish (AKA Sea Trout) off that jetty.

That old guy knew what he was doing.
He was there to catch dinner, and he always did.
Though I'm sure he loved doing it.
He spurned other fish, saying Sheepshead were the best eating.

Gyms dont bother me.

Cardio machines in gyms DO bother me.


I cant run or bike on anything stationary and find any motivation to push myself. Put me outside, and I can force myself to run a bit harder, a little farther each time.

Weight training systems, machinery and equipment is vastly more efficient than attempting to find tools and instruments to use outside of said gym. (Unless of course you buy the systems, machinery or equipment yourself.)

 

I really want to reply with a witty, yet philisophical response but I have no idea what your post means.
