The old style had chains attached to the arms and hung under the trailer frame rails. This is the modern version that increases ground clearance and gets rid of the chains. Attach trailer, lift up till the arms go in the connections on the trailer frame, pop in the locking pin, throw the 7 pin in there and go. Don't forget to lift the jack up off the ground. lol

Had the ball part on there a while back after we had gotten back from a trip and hadn't taken it off yet. Joker coming off the interstate rear ended me and drove off. Got a glimpse of the massive hole in his front bumper as he sped around me to leave the scene. Haha All it did to the hitch was move the anti-sway portion some.

I've used the old school with the chains that you mentioned. Sway control? That's high tech, time to upgrade!

I too had to pay my way through college. Since, my son is taking biomedical classes, and is thinking med school. I figure he is going to have plenty of loans to pay. So I’m paying his expenses for college, but he does have a good amount of scholarships.

Came out to about the same price as the chain type in the end. Mine was $600 because I bought it when I got the camper. Seen them on Amazon for mid to high $300's. I don't budge when a semi passes me. Phil can attest to this, he was with me for the drive back with it.

Nothing wrong with that. Good for him as well, thats a serious decision he made and i wish him the absolute best. I dont think theres anything wrong with paying for your kids college, i just dont believe in doing it myself.

Paid for all my own college classes. Still don't have a degree. Don't really care at this point. Only thing I'm going to school for now is fun shit that I want to learn. I've got 2 careers at this point I can do and make good money without one. I have no desire to be a higher up cause all that does is take more of your free time. I'm all about camping and having as much fun in life as possible. I don't live to work, I live to spend time with my family.

We paid daughters way through college and she just graduated with a master's with some scholarship help. So she's going in with no debt.

@tweakit88 let's see that hill you were talking about. Didn't you post a vid not too long ago? Can you climb it when it's dry?

I had a full ride to basically anywhere I wanted to go based on ACT score. If my kids score well I’ll encourage them to give college a try but if it’s not for them then it’s not. I was a “school kid”. Like always just good at it. That’s not the case for everyone. I appreciate the people that do things that didn’t require a degree, there’s a lot out there I never could mentally or physically do that only certain folks can....degree or not.

I was a school kid too, mainly because my parents always pushed it on me. My parents were refugees from Vietnam, so they felt that an education was number one. I got tired of that shit when I got older, and wanted to do vocational things with my hands, so I have experience in both.
